These are the digitised scrapbooks and photo albums of my grandparents, John Fowler Mitchell and Sheila Macbeth Mitchell, covering almost the whole of the 20th century.
They were both committed to keeping a detailed record of their family and their travels, extending from India to post-war Europe, from rural England to Scottish graveyards. Click on the headings below to open a pdf file of each album. Some of the files are large (up to 50 MB), so may take time to download and open. If you would like any of the individual images in higher resolution, please send me an email to andymitchellmedia@gmail.com You can see another of Sheila's scrapbooks which has been digitised by Edinburgh Libraries. And they also wrote a long article about her. |
